Guidelines for oral presentations
- Plenary talks: 40 min talk + 5 minutes for discussions
- Invited talks: 25 min talk + 5 minutes for discussions
- Contributed talks: 12 min talk + 3 minutes for discussions
- Please bring a windows XP compatible power point file (preferred) or Adobe pdf file of your talk on CD or memory stick with you to the conference.
- Please up-load and check your presentation on the conference computer well ahead of your session, preferably the day before.
Guidelines for poster presentations
- There will be two poster sessions during the conference in the La Scala conference room (main auditorium). Your poster presentation is either scheduled for Monday, 19 September 2005, 20:00 – 21:30 or Wednesday 21, 2005, 20:00 – 21:30.
- Presenters are asked to stand by their poster during the poster session to answer questions.
- If you have been allocated to present your poster on Monday, 19 September, please mount your poster during the lunch break (12:30 – 14:00) on Monday, 19 September. Please remove your poster during the afternoon break (15:45 – 19:30) on Tuesday, 20 September.
- If you have been allocated to present your poster on Wednesday, 21 September 20:00 – 21:30, please mount your poster during the coffee break (10:30 – 11:00) on Wednesday, September 21. Please remove your poster at the end of the conference on Thursday, September 22 until 14:00.
- Posters should be DIN A0 size portrait style (841 mm wide x 1189 mm long).

- Posters should be made of paper or thin cardboard.
- Pins to attach your poster to the panel will be supplied by the conference.
- Poster panels are numbered. You will find the number of your poster in the abstract booklet that you will receive when you register at the conference.
- The amount of written text should be kept to a minimum by using keywords and phrases.
- Clearly labelled graphs, diagrams and pictures convey meaning more readily than closely printed text.
- Keep the layout simple.
